where DESIGN is a language,
USABILITY is articulation
Curious to the Core
With over 25 years of design experience across multiple mediums, I'm most curious about projects that allow me to grow my knowledge and that of others while innovating the way we work.
I've been fascinated by the intersection of technology, design, and community since designing and building my first website at the age of seven. Whether optimizing a rehab program for a horse, solving a regulatory compliance problem for a SaaS application, or imagining an interactive sculpture to install in public space, my approach to problem-solving is always user-centered.
Leadership as a Design Question
My unique blend of interests has shaped my focus as a designer and instilled in me a deep-seated belief in people-first leadership. These same skills used as a designer translate to my philosophy on leadership: team culture and growth is a design challenge, and the best way solutions will come from curiosity.
As a designer,
I’ve cultivated a deep understanding of user needs and a passion for creating beautifully usable interfaces that stem from a focus on information architecture, micro-interaction, and design systems.
As a maker,
I’ve learned to follow my curiosity and think outside the box to create delightful solutions that are approachable and intuitive.
As an equestrian,
I’ve learned that patience and open communication are the fastest ways to grow together and build trust - and to always be ready to adapt and try a new approach.
